The Fine Print

Our lawyers (one guy, who is also our CEO, fulfillment department, and janitor) insist on the following.

The actual rules

  • Each Karma Card code can be redeemed exactly once.
  • Karma Cards are given out by hand, for good deeds. Codes that weren’t handed out by us are not valid, no matter how good your deed was.
  • Gift cards are sent by email to the address you give us. Every claim is reviewed by a person before it’s paid out, and we can refuse claims that look like fraud.
  • Karma Points have no cash value, except at Applebee’s, where they have exactly the value printed on the gift card.
  • This is a personal, for-fun project. It can end at any time, and unredeemed karma will simply return to the universe.

What we do with your info

When you redeem, we keep your name, email address, the codes you entered, what you tell us about your good deed, and your IP address (to stop people guessing codes). We use it only to send your gift card and keep the karma ledger honest. We don’t sell it, share it, or send you marketing. Want it deleted? Email us and it’s gone.

The not-a-joke disclaimer

Karma Rebate is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Applebee’s. Applebee’s is a registered trademark of its owner. We buy Applebee’s gift cards at regular retail and give them away because it’s funny and nice.
